IRN-BRU Carnival Code of Conduct

Welcome to the IRN-BRU Carnival – Scotland’s biggest indoor funfair! We aim to create a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for everyone. By attending the Carnival, you agree to follow this Code of Conduct, which supports our Terms of Entry.

Who this Code applies to

This Code applies to everyone attending, supporting, or participating in the Carnival, including visitors, staff, partners, and ride operators.

Creating a respectful environment

We want the Carnival to be a fun, friendly, and respectful environment. Everyone deserves to feel safe and welcome.

Unacceptable behaviours

The following behaviours will not be tolerated:

Discrimination of any kind, including age, gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.
Harassment or intimidation, including threats, offensive language, gestures, or physical aggression.
Sexual harassment, including inappropriate comments, physical contact, or gestures.
Displaying offensive or abusive content, including nudity or sexually explicit images.
Wearing clothing with offensive slogans, language, or imagery.
Heckling, catcalling, or deliberately disrupting rides or activities.
Damage to the venue, rides, or anyone’s property.
Smoking or vaping anywhere inside the building.

Reporting a problem

If you see or experience behaviour that goes against this Code, please report it straight away. All reports will be handled confidentially.

How to report:

Speak to a member of the security team, event staff, or venue staff.
Visit the Organiser’s Office on-site.
Email [email protected] with as much detail as possible (including time, location, and description).

Please report any incidents as soon as possible, ideally while you are still at the event, so we can take appropriate action.
