The IRN-BRU Carnival is an annual indoor funfair taking place at the SEC Glasgow. This year Carnival runs from 19th December 2025 - 11th January 2026/
Tickets
We are asking visitors to book their tickets in advance to ensure entry to the Carnival is as quick as possible. There will be a limited number of tickets available to purchase on the day, however these are subject to availability, so we advise pre-booking to guarantee your ticket.
If you purchased tickets via the IRN-BRU Carnival website, you receive a link to download the See Tickets by Eventim Digital Wallet Mobile App to access your tickets. Once downloaded, you can login to your SEE Tickets account and your tickets will be available in the app closer to the event.
Vouchers
Vouchers can be used on rides, game stalls and Inflatable Play. All rides and stalls are 1 voucher except Hook-a-Duck, which is 2 per game as you are guaranteed a prize every time and Inflatable Play is 3 per child who wants to play. (Adults accompanying children into the inflatable play area do not have to use their vouchers for entry.)
Please note dodgem cars are designed for 2 people, and each person will require a voucher. If you wish to ride the Dodgems alone it will cost 2 vouchers.
Please note that there are also some cash taking attractions in the hall.
Sharing tickets & vouchers
Digital ticket sharing allows you to transfer your tickets from your user account to your friend's user account before the event. The recipient must have their own See Tickets account and have downloaded the See Tickets Wallet Mobile App.
To share your tickets with someone in your party via the See Tickets Wallet, follow these steps:
- Log in to the See Tickets Wallet Mobile App using your account credentials.
- Tap on the order that contains the tickets you want to share.
- Tap the share icon located below the QR code on the tickets.
- After tapping the share icon, a field will appear where you can enter the email address associated with your friend's user account.
- If you have multiple tickets on the order that you want to share, repeat steps 3-4 for each ticket individually. Swipe right to navigate to the next ticket and tap on the sharing icon for each ticket you wish to share.
Please note that the ticket share tool can only be accessed by the original purchaser of the tickets. This means that if you share your tickets with a friend's account, your friend will not be able to further share them with another account. However, if needed you can reclaim the tickets back to your account and share them with someone else. You can find more information on sharing and reclaiming tickets here.
There are no age limits throughout the IRN-BRU Carnival however, if you are 12 or under you must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 16 or above) at all times.
The IRN-BRU Carnival has taken a number of measures to make sure that as many people as possible can enjoy their day out at the Carnival. However, please be aware that while we have made a great effort to provide facilities to accommodate as many access requirements as possible, there will inevitably be some areas and rides which still present a challenge for some.
Take a look at our Accessibility Guide which details measures including Essential Companion tickets, Ride Access Passes and wheelchair hire, and if you have a question that is not answered by this guide, then please contact [email protected] and we'll do our best to help.
Autism Friendly sessions for Carnival are on Sunday 28 December 11am-2pm, and Monday 5th January 4pm-9pm, offering visitors with autism and sensory processing disorders the chance to enjoy the rides with less queues and crowds, and to get used to their environment.
Some of the rides will be slower, flashing lights where possible are turned off (please note some rides are unable to adjust the speed & lighting settings on their machines). Music will be off or turned down low, and numbers will be capped so that there are less crowds, however these sessions can still be popular. There will also be quiet areas available. The venue can provide sensory packs on a first come, first served basis, please see their website for information.
At the end of each Autism Friendly session, the music and lights will gradually return to their usual levels. Visitors to the Autism Friendly sessions are welcome to stay at the Carnival until it closes if they wish.
We hope that these measures help as many people as possible to enjoy the IRN-BRU Carnival.
Baby changing facilities are available inside the Carnival and can be found in the Inflatable Play area – please note you will not need to use any vouchers to enter the Inflatable Play area to use the baby changing facilities.
There are also three further baby changing rooms accessible from the SEC's main concourse; two are on the main concourse adjacent to the central ladies’ toilets and the other is at the west end of the venue next to the west entrance.
As per the Carnival’s Terms of Entry, and the SEC’s Terms and Conditions, customers should note that they may be refused entry or ejected from the venue on account of being (or appearing to be) underage (where relevant), abusive, threatening, drunken, declining to be searched, carrying offensive weapons or illegal substances or for any other anti-social behaviour.

The Carnival takes place at the SEC in Glasgow.
Glasgow's a really easy city to get around, with plenty of transport options - read on to find out the best way to get to the SEC. Please note that train strikes are planned to take place during the Carnival – please check your travel options and plan your journey well in advance.

The multi-storey at the SEC is operated by Glasgow City Council, and costs £12 for 1-12 hours.
The multi-storey has a height restriction of 2m. Drivers with vehicles over 2m should report to the Gatehouse to the west of the campus (accessed via Stobcross Road) in the first instance and you will be directed to an available space.
Please note that residential parking cannot be accommodated at the SEC.
By Train
The SEC has its own dedicated railway station – Exhibition Centre – allowing easy access from the city centre and suburbs. There are six trains an hour (around every 10 minutes) from Glasgow Central station, departing from Platform 17 (low level), and journey takes just 3 minutes.
On disembarking at the Exhibition Centre, take the stairs or a lift up street level. A covered walkway connects the station to the campus.

The X19 Stagecoach service also operates near to the Scottish Event Campus, stopping on Finnieston Street only a few minutes’ walk from the venue.
By Taxi
There are several taxi ranks throughout the city including at Buchanan Bus Station, Queen Street and Central stations and most large hotels.
The distinctive black cabs can accommodate five or six people. If their yellow light is on you can flag them down on the street. Alternatively, you can call +44 (0) 141 429 70 70 or visit the Glasgow Taxis website to book. Our address for the online taxi booking form is SEC, Glasgow, G3 8YW.

There are two foot bridges, which cross the Clydeside Express Way (dual carriageway connecting the west end to Glasgow city centre) at both the front and rear of the campus.
Four pedestrian bridges traverse the River Clyde near the SEC. Bells Bridge and the Millenium Bridge connect the campus to the Science Centre and BBC, The Govan Footbridge connects Govan to the Glasgow Transport Museum while, a little further east, the Clyde Arc (affectionately known as the ‘Squinty Bridge’) carries both vehicles and pedestrians.
The Inflatable Play is suitable for children 12 years and under 1.5m, and costs 3 x vouchers per child for 40 minutes play. There's also a cafe for accompanying grown-ups to rest and refuel (no vouchers required to access the cafe). Maximum 4 accompanying adults per child.

All visitors require an entry ticket, even if they do not plan to go on rides themselves. Vouchers can be used on the stalls as well as the rides and the inflatable play area.
